This site is established to help keep horses "in need" safe from all the dangers they face in "their" world.
Times are tough everywhere and one thing is true, in hard times the innocent, voiceless among us suffer the most.
This site is called THOROUGHBREDCHARTS and it's eventual home will be ThoroughbredCharts.com
When one thinks of a Thoroughbred's chart, one typically thinks of his race record on the track. This site includes that, but it is about the Thoroughbred's CHART OF LIFE that concerns me the most.
This site is DEDICATED TO GRITS, a 4 year old grey Thoroughbred gelding, who was the most unbelievably smart, strong, kind and hard-trying horse I ever had the priviledge to be involved with.
GRITS is pictured below.
GRITS' full life and racing chart will be posted in the coming days. GRITS and those who helped him will be an inspiration indeed.
EVERY HORSE DESERVES A SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE ENVIRONMENT in which to live, work and play.
Horses are magnificent creatures that have built this country and who provide sources of income and social health in just about every way imaginable.
We, as "thinking" and responsible humans, owe them the right to live safe, dignified lives. Just as we would want for ourselves.
Horses don't need lots of dudads! They just need responsible care and a responsible environment, which mostly amounts to the ability for them to have daily sun and fresh air on their backs, room to move about safely and comfortably and a healthy, balanced diet of hay, grain, a little grazing grass and lots of fresh water. Just add LOVE (and the occasional carrot), sprinkle in a good Vet and Farrier and you have the makings for a lifetime of pure joy and companionship.
